Single – Hollow – (Release 20.02.2026)
Smash Into Pieces Release “Hollow” ahead of Sweden’s Eurovision Selection
Smash Into Pieces return to Sweden’s biggest music competition for the third time with “Hollow”. This time with their sights firmly set on representing Sweden at Eurovision.
Today, Friday, the band released the single “Hollow,” their entry in Melodifestivalen 2026, Sweden’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. The accompanying music video premieres in connection with the semi-final at Malmö Arena on February 21.
Following their breakthrough in Melodifestivalen 2023 with “Six Feet Under,” which became one of the most played Swedish songs of the year, and the success of 2024’s “Heroes Are Calling,” the band are now ready to take their unique expression into a new era.
“This is it – third time’s the charm. All in. Eurovision or nothing.”
Smash Into Pieces
With over one billion streams and a rapidly growing international audience, Smash Into Pieces have established themselves as one of Sweden’s most successful rock bands abroad. They have toured extensively across Europe, the United States, Australia, and Asia, building a loyal global fanbase while maintaining their distinctive visual and musical identity.
Since forming in 2008, the band have developed a cinematic rock universe led by the masked drummer APOC – a character who has become central to the band’s storytelling and visual identity. By combining modern rock, electronic influences, and cinematic narratives, Smash Into Pieces create music where power meets emotion and futuristic aesthetics.
With “Hollow,” the band continue to push the boundaries of how modern rock can sound and look.
“‘Hollow’ is about how we are slowly losing ourselves in a digitalized world. Connected to the world, disconnected from ourselves.”
Benjamin Jennebo, guitarist and songwriter.
“Hollow” moves between the personal and the existential, raising questions about identity and human value in a digital era where the pace keeps accelerating and the noise never fades.
It is not a lecture, but a reflection. A story about feeling lost in a fast-moving world and trying to reconnect with what is real.
